36th Annual KidFilm Family Festival


Angelika Film Center - Mockingbird Station

The USA Film Festival/Dallas presents KidFilm, the oldest and largest family film festival in the United States, on January 25 & 26, 2020 at the Angelika Film Center, 5321 E. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas.  All programs are FREE to the community.

This year’s featured programs will include:

A Tribute to children's book authors/illustrators Adam Rex and Laurie Keller (in person) with a screening of School's First Day of School, Potato Pants! and Do Unto Otters: A Book About Manners, all adapted from their popular books, and a reading from Adam and Laurie's new book "Pluto Gets the Call."  Free copies of the book will be distributed to families, and they will sign copies following the program.

A Tribute to Christopher Eliopoulos (in person), children's book author/illustrator and co-creator of the PBS Kids' series "Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum."  The program will include a screening of the never-before-seen, one-hour episode special "Xavier Riddle and the Secret Movie: I Am Madam President."  Free copies of Christopher's book "I am Walt Disney" will be distributed to families, and he will sign copies following the program.

Screenings of new animated feature films including: Swift by Christian Haas, with a stellar voice cast including Kate Winslet, Willem Dafoe, Rob Paulsen, Josh Keaton, and Julie Nathanson; Piet De Rycker's Princess Emmy with a voice cast including Ruby Barnhill (The BFG), John Hannah, Franka Potente, Bella Ramsey, and Tim McInnerny; and David Alaux's delightfully entertaining film The Jungle Bunch.
Screenings of new live-action feature films including: Team Marco, starring Owen Vaccaro (The House with the Clock in its Walls, Daddy's Home 1 and 2); Juliana & the Medicine Fish, Immenhof - The Adventure of a Summer, Alfons Jitterbit - Countdown to Chaos, and Kiddo the Hacker.

A celebratory screening of five incredible short films to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and women's right to vote.
Screenings of thirteen new live-action and animated short films from around the world.
