The Mesquite Symphony's traditional Christmas concerts Saturday, Dec. 14, welcome families to come and sing along with full orchestra and hear holiday favorites like Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite," Mel Torme's "The Christmas Song," and "The Polar Express," "Toccata on Carol of the Bells," "Sleigh Ride" and a Robert Shaw/Russell Bennett arrangement for orchestra and chorus, "The Many Moods of Christmas." Each performance ends with sing-alongs of favorite carols and Christmas songs led by music director Felix Torres and a massed chorus of students from three Mesquite high schools - West, North Mesquite and Mesquite - and hundreds of voices in the audience! Early performance is 5-6:15 p.m., evening concert is 7:30-8:45 p.m. Tickets are available online or from an hour before each concert at the box office.
