Connections! Great American Landscapes

Irving Arts Center

Take a holiday trip through America with some favorite music!  Bring a friend - or your kids - to hear a full symphony orchestra performing Grofe's "Grand Canyon Suite," where you can feel the horses' pace in "On the Trail."  Other music of American composers includes Copland's "Appalachian Spring," Moross's film music for "The Big Country" and Wm. Grant Still's "Far West Suite."

Don't miss "Sundays at the Symphony" with the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving, December 15 at 3:30 p.m. at the Irving Arts Center!
And come early for cake and conversation at 2:30 p.m. in the lobby with Texas historian Dr. Bob Fairbanks of The University of Texas/Arlington, longtime Irving community volunteer Christina Winters and members of the Irving Heritage Society, as we look at "where we've come from" to this diverse part of America.  It's the first in a new series of "'Connections!" concerts by the New Philharmonic, focusing on the music of all the Americas.
