START RESTAURANT HOSTS HOLIDAY COOKIE DECORATING WORKSHOP FOR KIDS WITH BEETS-, NOT BEETLES-BASED FOOD COLORING
Limited-space event is free with donated toy, diapers, or wipes for Vogel Alcove
WHAT: To mark the beginning of the giving season, Start will host a holiday cookie decorating workshop for children to make and take home delicious holiday cookies made with love and nature. Start founder Erin McKool will lead the workshop, spreading holiday cheer as well as tips about keeping our bodies and planet healthy by using plant-based ingredients. In lieu of charging admission fees, Start will collect donations of new toys, diapers, and wipes to give to children of families experiencing homelessness served by Vogel Alcove.

WHY: Long-time Vogel Alcove supporter Start Restaurant uses all-natural, plant-based food dyes in its recipes. Start is passionate about giving back and giving people healthy food choices, even in a quick-service restaurant experience.
HOW: Space is limited to the first 25 cookie decorators who register via email at [email protected].
PRICE: Admission is free with a donation of new toys, diapers, or wipes that will be donated to Vogel Alcove. Toys should be for six-week-old to five-year-old children. Diapers should be size 5.
