... it's the scary season of Halloween and the Day of the Dead, and the Mesquite Symphony is reminding us of some unforgettable "sounds in the night" - haunting music from films like "Psycho" and "The Corpse Bride," Mozart's ageless overture to "Don Giovanni" and Respighi's magnificent "Pines of Rome," and the simple children's prayer in Humperdinck's prelude to "Hansel and Gretel."
Come - in costume if you'd like - 7:30 p.m. Saturday, October 26, at the Mesquite Arts Center, 1527 N. Galloway. Concert is conducted by music director Felix Torres. The orchestra, of course, will dress in black.
