Danse Macabre

Millermuller ballet is pleased to invite you to our 5th annual Danse Macabre at the Plaza Theatre in downtown Garland. The evening opens with the premiere of our original ballet, “El Amor Brujo” featuring the amazing Brooke Chiles and Alexis Hernandez. It is a love story set in the gypsy caves of Granada with ghostly appearances by Alyson Whitworth and Carlos Hernandez and a village sorceress danced by Amber Page.

The program continues with the balletto, “Walpurgis Night”, from the opera “Faust”. The wild, bacchanalian setting is an exotic beginning to the fall season. “Come Sail Away” invites the audience to take an imagination journey into the unknown. We are also pleased to announce that Rockwall Ballet will be joining us with three of their newest dances. As always, their young dancers will energize our stage and bring freshness to the evening.

We close with Saint-Saëns’ “Danse Macabre”. Set in an eerie Gothic cemetery, Death raises phantasms and spirits with her magical violin and sets them free until cockcrow. Join us as we cast our autumnal spell.
