Stage West made it its mission to make Fort Worth laugh this year. Of the six shows on the 2009-10 slate, five are comedies. Up next is RolePlay, a farce by British playwright Alan Ayckbourn. In it, a newly engaged couple decides to throw a dinner party so everyone’s future in-laws can get to know one another. Tensions are high as the efforts to make everything just so ramp up. And when an ex-stripper, her ex-boxer bodyguard and a buzzed-and-then-some party guest show up, well, things aren’t going to go as planned.
Stage West has graciously offered up two free pairs of tickets to Saturday’s opening night performance. So you know the drill by now – if you want ’em, be one of the first two people to e-mail me ([email protected]) with “Stage West” in the subject line and they are yours.
