Ticket Giveaway: Before the Music Dies

by Stephen Becker 12 Jun 2009 1:52 PM

Director Andrew Shapter will bring his film Before the Music Dies to his home town of Fort Worth for a screening June 17. In the documentary, some of the biggest names in music – including Erykah Badu, Eric Clapton, Dave Mathews Elvis Costello and many others – are interviewed about the homogenization of popular music. The screening will serve as a kickoff to the Fort Worth Weekly Music Awards and is presented by the Lone Star Film Society. As an added bonus Red Young, the 2008 Hall of Fame Fort Worth Weekly winner and Adonis Rose, the Best Jazz Artist Fort Worth Weekly winner for 2007 and 2008, will be sitting in and playing before and after a performance by Ephraim Owens, who is also featured in the film.

Tickets are $20-$30, and the presenters are expecting a full house.  But Art&Seek has got you covered on this one. The first three people to e-mail me ([email protected]) will receive a pair of tickets to the event.

Ready, Set, GO!

UPDATE: Tickets are all gone.
