The Big Deal: Winspear Opera House Recital Series – Joshua Bell

by Gila Espinoza 29 Oct 2014 8:30 AM

Joshua Bell was already an established classical music superstar long before his 2007 Washington Post subway experiment. The experiment brought Bell even more notoriety and the Post a Pulitzer Prize. The virtuoso violinist has recorded more than 40 CDs since he was 18. In 2011, he was appointed Music Director for the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, the prestigious London based chamber orchestra. Bell will be coming to town packing his 1713 Huberman Stradivarius for a one-night performance, as part of the Winspear Opera House Recital series. For this Big Deal enter to win a pair of tickets to see Joshua Bell, and his Strad, accompanied by pianist Alessio Bax on Nov. 6 at the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

And if you love this Big Deal then you’ll want to sign up for our other Big Deal this week – tickets to see  ‘Appalachian Spring’ presented by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth. Or try your chance at winning tickets to Casa Manaña’s presentation of A Tuna Christmas.
