The Big Deal: Hard 2 Spel Dad at Dallas Children's Theater

by Anne Bothwell 2 Feb 2011 7:57 AM

The Dallas Children’s Theater has launched its month-long Teen Scene Festival, featuring four plays and readings, all written by local playwright Linda Daugherty, and all focusing on issues facing young people, from dating violence to eating disorders to bullying.  This week’s Big Deal lets you and three others get a taste of the festival by enjoying one of its works: Hard 2 Spel Dad tackles learning difficulties, such as dyslexia, and follows a pair of teens as they work toward accepting their challenges – and themselves.

For more on the festival, check out Jerome Weeks’ report that aired recently on KERA FM. (Note, these performances are recommended for ages 12 and up.)

To enter to win the four tickets, sign up below. But not unless you’ve already subscribed to the e-newsletter. Which you can do here. And don’t forget about this week’s other Big Deal: Tickets to Arsenic and Old Lace at Dallas Theater Center.

UPDATE: Thanks to all who entered. We have our winner.
