The Big Deal: Grammy-Winning Percussion Presented By The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra

For their second concert of the new year, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra welcomes FWSO Composer-in-Residence Jennifer Higdon to the symphonic line-up. Solo percussionist Colin Currie will perform Higdon’s Grammy-winning Percussion Concerto. The concerto by the Pulitzer Prize-winning composer is a 25-minute work which features exuberant exchanges between Currie and the orchestra’s percussion section. Closing the concert in a blazing fanfare will be Rachmaninoff’s monumental Symphony No. 2. Win this Big Deal and you and a guest can see this pulsating concert from your orchestra section seats on Jan. 9 at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth.
