The Big Deal: DMA Arts & Letters Live! ‘The Miniaturist’: From Page To Screen

by Gila Espinoza 13 Feb 2019 1:32 AM

For their upcoming literary series, Arts & Letters Live, the Dallas Museum of Art will welcome British author, Jesse Burton. Burton will share insights about her debut novel, “The Miniaturist.” The bestseller premiered as a three-part television series on PBS Masterpiece. The story of a young bride and her distant husband brings 17th-century Dutch culture vividly to life, telling a story of love and obsession, betrayal and retribution, appearance and truth. Also joining the conversation will be internationally acclaimed designers, Susie Rogers and Kevin Mulvany, who created the miniatures used in the television series. The duo trained as art historians and will discuss their creative process.  Win this Big Deal and receive two tickets to attend the discussion on Wednesday, March 6, plus a copy of Burton’s New York Times–bestselling novel, “The Miniaturist.”
