The Big Deal – DMA Arts & Letters Live Presents Vinh Chung: Rescue to Redemption

by Francesca Paris 8 Jun 2016 8:30 AM

On Monday, June 20, the Dallas Museum of Art’s Arts & Letters Live series will host Vinh Chung, author of the memoir “Where the Wind Leads.” Chung is a Vietnam refugee who overcame pirates, poverty, discrimination, and language barriers to attend Harvard Medical School. The now-successful doctor recounts the courage and sacrifice of his parents during a journey that spans two continents and 10 decades. “Where the Wind Leads” is a testimony to his family’s faith, and a reminder to people everywhere that the American dream is still possible.bd book
