The Big Deal: Dancing At Lughnasa Presented By Contemporary Theatre Of Dallas

by Gila Espinoza 31 Aug 2016 8:31 AM

You don’t have to come from a big family to appreciate the upcoming production at Contemporary Theatre of Dallas.  “Dancing at Lughnasa” was written by Irish writer Brian Friel (“Translations”).  The memory play won a Tony Award for Best Play in 1992. The story of the Mundy family in 1930s Ireland is a powerful portrait of a family told through talk, laughter and dance.  Contemporary Theatre of Dallas will present the Friel masterpiece from Sept. 9 through Oct. 2. Win this Big Deal and take your sibling, or date, to see the Sept. 10 performance at the cultural cornerstone of lowest Greenville Avenue . . . Contemporary Theatre of Dallas.
