The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center goes on tour to Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, Texas.
Each of the composers featured draws on Eastern European folk music in unique ways, sometimes outright, more often in small inflections of color or a turn of phrase. This program exemplifies the seamless blending of folk tradition with art music.
The program features American pianist Jeremy Denk (pictured left), who has steadily built a reputation as one of today’s most compelling and persuasive artists with an unusually broad repertoire.
