The Big Deal: All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce Of 1914 At The Eisemann Center

by Gila Espinoza 2 Nov 2016 8:31 AM

“All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914” is a musical based on the true story of what happened the first Christmas during WWI. On that cold Christmas night on the Western Front, both German and Allied soldiers went on strike and celebrated Christmas together. They put their guns down and meet in No Man’s Land. They exchanged gifts, shared photographs, sang songs, and buried their dead. For a brief time, the soldiers were able to demonstrate their common humanity before being ordered back to the trenches. Sign up to win tickets to the one-night only performance on Nov. 29 at the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts.
