Giveaway: Passes to See Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy

by Stephen Becker 12 Dec 2011 11:29 AM

The film adaptation of the John le Carré’s spy novel Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy is already shaping up to be one of the best-reviewed films of the year. It opened in very limited release over the weekend and pulled in a whopping $75,000 per screen. It finally comes our way on Dec. 23, but if you’re super psyched to see it, you don’t have to wait until then. An advanced screening will be held Dec. 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Angelika Film Center, and we’ve got passes to give away. All you’ve got to do is download it and then print it off to bring with you. A word to the wise – seating is on a first come, first served basis, so if you really want in, I’d get there early.

And for those of you diehard fans of the novel out there, we’ve got a cool prize pack to give away to one winner that includes:

  • a Tinker, Tailor, Soldier Spy chess set
  • a spy pen that has a voice recorder
  • and a copy of the novel

But first, you’ve got to do a little work and answer this trivia question: In the novel, much of the action revolves around Soviet intelligence received from a secret source. What is this agent’s code name?

If you’ve got the answer, e-mail it to me at [email protected]. We’ll draw a winner from all correct answers on Tuesday.

UPDATE: Congratulations to our winner, who correctly identified the source as “Merlin”
