KERA Now Has An Original Frank Stella Drawing

OK, so maybe it’s just a doodle. But the great American master of abstract art DID leave his mark when he was here.

The famous abstract painter visited KERA’s studios today for a THINK interview with Krys Boyd. While waiting in the conference room, he drew on the whiteboard there — to show how a pioneering work by the great Russian artist Kazimir Malevich (perhaps his ‘Suprematism with Blue Triangle and Black Square’ from 1915) influenced one of Stella’s own paintings.
