Congratulations to Greg Westfall of Fort Worth, the winner of the Flickr Photo of the Week contest. Greg has won our contest multiple times. His last win was in June of last year. He follows last week’s winner Sandra Kent of Dallas.

If you would like to participate in the Flickr Photo of the Week contest, all you need to do is upload your photo to our Flickr group page. It’s fine to submit a photo you took earlier than the current week, but we are hoping that the contest will inspire you to go out and shoot something fantastic this week to share with Art&Seek users. If the picture you take involves a facet of the arts, even better. The contest week will run from Tuesday to Monday, and the Art&Seek staff will pick a winner on Friday afternoon. We’ll notify the winner through FlickrMail (so be sure to check those inboxes) and ask you to fill out a short survey to tell us a little more about yourself and the photo you took. We’ll post the winners’ photo on Tuesday.

Now here’s more from Greg.

flickr guyTitle of photo: The Look

Equipment: Canon 1Ds Mark 2 converted to full-time infrared; processing and texture via Photoshop.

Tell us more about your photo: This is a picture of Hugo, my 12 year-old Standard Poodle. It was taken at dog’s-eye-level after we had been walking in the hot sun and tall grass for over an hour. The clouds are real – the camera was about an inch above the ground and pointing straight up. Hugo was ready to go home and was not very patient with my continuing to take pictures of him. Hence, the look.

love it!! Great shot and beautiful standard. We have two standards and I got a kick out of this photo as the grass etc are stuck to Hugo’s coat. That is exactly what happens to ours when they go outside to play. Last fall my house was covered with leaves that they brought in each day after “wrestling” each other. Thanks for sharing this photo.
