Kickstarter Campaign For D’Drum Film Sooooo Close to Goal

by Jerome Weeks 5 Oct 2013 4:02 PM

Only $9,000 left to raise – out of $95,000 for a documentary on the world-premiere collaboration between Police drummer-composer Stewart Copeland, the Dallas Symphony, conducted by Jaap van Zweden and the percussion ensemble D’Drum. But there’s only 2 days left.

CTA TBD

“Dare to Drum” is the Kickstarter campaign to fund John Bryant’s documentary of the world-premiere collaboration of Police drummer Stewart Copeland, the Dallas Symphony, conducted by Jaap van Zweden, and the Dallas percussion ensemble D’Drum (check out the great video above) . This campaign’s pretty special — beyond the incredible music — because the “kickback” rewards include Copeland hosting a film scoring master class (limited to five attendees) and a drumming master class (again, only five attendees). In addition to his worldwide success with the band Police, Copeland has had a successful career composing for film and TV, including Rumblefish, Wall Street and Desperate Housewives.

Other kickbacks include a private drum lesson with Copeland, a private performance from D’Drum as well as autographed percussion equipment from Copeland. “Dare to Drum” is trying to raise $95,000 — and they’ve raised just under $86,000.But there are only two days left!
