OK, the Blackalicious is pretty cool.
Thanks for playing Little Feat. As well, Compared to What is trippin’ my groove. Who’s doing this version?

How’s about Alice Cooper’s “Shoe Salesman?” The lyrics are clean. Not too heavy, not too long.
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00122IUNE/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1336960524&sr=8-1

And any Tom Waits that you can get into the show is good with me. I really like the album Early Years.

thanks man. I just played Dada last night. It was like hanging out with your old girlfriend that you had so much love and good times with, then you broke up cuz she just lost it and went down the drain, then you went back to see her cuz you heard she was getting better, but you couldnt help but remember how wonderful she was before. xo

    Loving your show!

lol, Les McCann is not new to you this week! I remember suggesting that an you playing it, but great track despite the not-so-great memory. Had I known there was a clean version of “Compared to What,” I would have requested it a long time ago. Speaking of clean, I soooooo wish you could play Pharcyde’s “Passin Me By.” It’s literally clean except for the very last word. Oh well.

Just for a change, I would love to hear you play some opera arias and duets. Here are some of my personal faves (obviously I don’t expect you to play all of them next week):

    * Saint-Saëns’, Samson & Dalila (Act II): “Mon Coeur S’ouvre À Ta Voix” (Dalila)
Favorite recording I’ve heard is with mezzo-soprano Rita Gorr, tenor John Vickers, and conductor Georges Prêtre at the Orchestre du Téâtre National de l’Opera de Paris

    * Cilea’s Adriana Lecouvreur (Act IV) : “Poveri fiori” (Adriana), performed by none other than Maria Callas

    * Wagner’s Die Meistersinger Von Nürnberg (Act III), No. 47: “Selig wie die Sonne,” (Quintet: Eva, Sachs, Magdalena, Walther, David)
The best version I’ve heard: Helen Donath (soprano), Theo Adam (bass-baritone), Ruth Hesse (mezzo-soprano), René Kollo (tenor), Peter Schreier (tenor), Herbert von Karajan (Conductor); Dresden State Opera Chorus
This is probably my all-time favorite opera melody, amazing gradual build-up from solo and climax into quintet. Unfortunately, it’s probably a bit too slow and quiet for radio. Still I think one of the most beautiful melodies EVER!

    -Danke!

wonderful !! I would love to get something from the opera on here. I like to stick some “classical” stuff into the mix. wonderful

Last week I suggested Daniel Market – a singer/songwriter from Indiana. I just spoke with him and he said that he would be honored to have one of his songs played on Art and Seek. He has a new song with a local connection titled “One PM at Baby Dolls.”

Tears for Fears- ‘The Big Chair’
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z75M8kxvR6E
This was a bonus track off the ‘Big Chair’ CD. For some reason was never put on the the most circulated version of the CD. Still one of the most creative songs I’ve heard. I bought this on Cassette Tape at VVV Records when it 1st came out.

    Kings of Leon -‘Closer’
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkGhDHP093M
Kind of a techno-metal song. Interesting mix of keyboard and heavy drum with powerful vocals.
