I am in studio and all ears. Let me have some great music suggestions !!!

    • JimM

I have never really seriously listened to Jeff Buckley, so any good pick you can come up with would be greatly appreciated.

    • David Mims

I would like to suggest The Pair Extraordinaire. They are a Jazzy R&B duo from the 60’s, used to open up for Bill Cosby and one of them is from Dallas.

I would like to suggest a favorite song of Frank Zappa. He had an appreciation for Black Sabbath’s “Supernaut” from Black Sabbath Four. Now, Trent Reznor and Ministry did covers but I don’t want to point to a “covers” theme. There’s also a version on YouTube by a rock and roll camp group posted by “Puppyfaces” that’s kind of fun. Oh, well. Anyway, that’s where my mind is at.

far out, I will try to find it.

  • Hey Paul, Enjoying the show…..my favorite way to unwind on Sunday nights!

With the KXT’s Flaming Lips concert approaching, I was thinking about a great band I saw years ago open for the Flaming Lips called The Starlight Mints. I really enjoyed them. Are you familiar with them? I’d love to hear one of their songs.

Also, how about Desoto Reds? “Larissa’s Boyfriend”, “Tupper in the Fridge” and “Howells and Jowls” are all favorites of mine.

Hope you enjoyed his beautiful day and thanks again for entertaining me tonight!

Glad to see a lot of my suggestions last week were new to you. Here’s another one you probably have not played: Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele. “Meet Me in the Garden” is a fun one.

Love it! The Gorillaz with De La Soul. Can’t beat it.

My only suggestion this week I think is something I have already suggested. One of my new finds in the last few months. Play anything by Nitin Sawhney. He’s got a bunch of stuff up on YouTube

My sweet wife would like to hear “Breakaway” by Big Pig from their album Bonk.
Thanks for the Todd! It’s amazing that he played every sound on that multi-disc album and recorded it in a hotel room in four days. Good vitamins?
Uh oh! I think I see those little red lights in my rear view mirror..

Just got back to Austin but was able to catch part of your show. How many of your audience remember Ten Hands? Moses would have been appropriate today.

  • Amyjo1920

Tokyo Cinema Club please : )

  • Thomas

I would like to hear “Love is a four letter word”, written by Bob Dylan and sung by Joan Baez.
    Thank you.

  • That track from The Theater Fire was just what I needed.
