UNT's Rilke Prize Winner Now a Critics' Fave As Well

The prizes are piling up for Space in Chains. And burdened by them all, author Laura Kasischke will be coming to town next month.

Last month, Laura Kasischke’s Space, in Chains was selected as the first winner of the University of North Texas’ brand-new Rilke Prize. Last night, her poetry collection won the National Book Critics Circle’ Award as well. Kasischke, who teaches at the University of Michigan, will be giving a reading at UNT April 19 as part of her Rilke duties, and another at the Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture April 20.
