The Dallas International Film Festival has released a list of 15 films that will play its sixth event, which runs April 12-22. Among the highlights is Lawrence Kasdan’s Darling Companion, in which a woman loves her dog more than her husband, and then husband loses said dog. You remember Kasdan as the Oscar-nominated writer of The Big Chill, The Accidental Tourist and Grand Canyon. Of local note is America’s Parking Lot, a documentary in which two die hard Cowboys fans capture their last season tailgating at Texas Stadium.

The festival also announced that Glen Keane will receive the Texas Avery Animation Award. Keane is best known for his work on Disney films, including Tarzan, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid. Previous winners include Brad Bird, Henry Selick and Pete Docter.

AMERICA’S PARKING LOT (USA)

Two die-hard fans and leaders of the legendary ‘Gate 6’ tailgate party, spend their last season with the Dallas Cowboys at historic Texas Stadium.
