I am looking forward to BST next week. Wayne will be doing your sound. I would like to hear you play the Sonics,’ Strychnine’ if possible. And since you’re playing Reed this week, what do think of doing some Clay Pendergrass next show?

    • Anonymous

I think there is a chance of that, anything in particular?

      • Pamitha42

Maybe ‘Ode to Willie NelsonI from ‘East Dallas Mix Tape’? I like when you surprise me, too. I also love the Killbilly suggestion. I miss them.

In thinking what I could suggest I thought it’d been a long time since we’d heard any Bosque Brown but you beat me to it. Of course you could always play more of hers/theirs.

Mmmm – how ’bout some Heartless Bastards’ “Parted Ways”? Here’s their web-site so you can get a non-MP3 version: http://www.partisanrecords.com/artists/heartless-bastards/catalog/arrow .

I’ve been really digging Herzog, a band out of Cleveland, lately. Especially the track “Paul Blart and the death of art”. It’s a fun listen.

And now for something completely different, your current track makes me think of Trilok Gurtu.

hmmm, sounds interesting, I will locate it

Paul, have you ever played Gang of Four on your show? I know it’s a silly request, but so is Southern Culture on the Skids and Elvis Hitler, and so it goes. How about the new Leonard Cohen? Or some old Kinks? “Sunny Afternoon” is suitably ironic for the times I’m waiting on DART.

  • AsylumPlagueRat
