North Texas Giving Day Just Hit $1 Mill in Matching Funds

The pool of matching funds for this Thursday’s North Texas Giving Day has reached $1 million, thanks to Hunt Consolidated. It’s a way of doubling your gift to any of 700 North Texas non-profits.

A donation from Hunt Consolidated has raised the matching funds for North Texas Giving Day to $1 million. More than 700 local non-profits (including, ahem, KERA and KXT) will benefit from the event this Thursday, Sept. 15.

Any donations of $25 or more made between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. that day on Donor Bridge will be matched — up to $1 million, thanks to the Communities Foundation of Texas, the Dallas  Foundation and the Center for Nonprofit Management.

Hunt Consolidated Team Takes September 15 Fundraising Event to New Level

DALLAS – September 13, 2011 – Matching funds and prizes are now up to $1 million thanks to a generous donation from the men and women of Hunt Consolidated. They just completed their annual “Hunt Cares” campaign to raise funds for the community and designated a significant portion of their gifts as matching funds for North Texas Giving Day. More than 700 local nonprofits are set to benefit on North Texas Giving Day this Thursday, September 15.

Between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on North Texas Giving Day, donations $25 and above made on www.donorbridgetx.org will be matched from the $1 million pool underwritten and raised by DonorBridge founders Communities Foundation of Texas, The Dallas Foundation and Center for Nonprofit Management.

“This is an unprecedented level of matching funds for the DonorBridge North Texas Giving Day,” said Communities Foundation of Texas president and CEO Brent Christopher. “The men and women of Hunt Consolidated are incredibly generous and their concern for the community is apparent.
