  • Regan

Guess everyone’s watching dem Dallas Cowboys.

  • Hey any interest in playing “runaway sue” by dion? Haven’t heard that song in forever. Love your show

  • Paul Slavens

    very funny @Regan

  • agm

Whatever this is (8:24), I really like it. I believe it’s also used as the theme for the Texas architecture radio show (the one that’s like 2 minutes long on KERA I think, don’t know the name).

Is it what the webpage says, Nick Drake – Time Has Told Me, but youtube comes up with no string instruments in that song…

  • Ray Worth

Not me – I never watch football. How about something by Sharon Van Etten next week.

  • Sheldon

You should play something by Girls

  • agm

As an aside, do you have any Fruitland Jackson? Really fantastic blues musician, can’t recommend highly enough.

  • Paul Slavens

    @agm
Its the Penguin Cafe Orchestra- It is the theme music to BBC or some such thing on KERA

  • Paul Slavens

BTW- thanks for the suggestions , keep em coming, the football game is prolly gonna make it kinda thin tonite, so gimme a bunch of ideas y’all !!!

  • Ray Worth

Eilen Jewell – Doc Watson – Victor Wooten – King Crimson

  • James Lovell

How about “Neutral Rat” by Dumpstaphunk or maybe “Til Vennene” by Jan Garbarek – Bobo Stenson Quartet on Dansere unless that’s too sedate.

  • Red

Dead Milkmen – The Guitar Song

  • Russell

Excellent show tonight, as ever. Your eclecticism knows no bounds. For future consideration: Jimmie Rodgers, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, David Bromberg, Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earle, Paul Simon, Kermit Ruffins, Levon Helm

  • Tom

    Paul,

Another great show (as always) – can you tell me did I hear the name “Scott Walker” correctly? I’m trying to track down his work.

    Thanks,

    Tom
