Afternoon Delight is a daily diversion for when you’re just back from lunch, but not quite ready to get back to work. Check back tomorrow at 1 p.m. for another one.

A Normal Day (aka blindclassic) seems to be a couple of Germans with a lot of time on their hands to practice new, everyday-household tricks involving tossing, juggling, kicking, flipping, sliding and hackysacking — and keep practicing them until they get them right for the camera. This is their second ‘best of’ compilation, and it shows how some of the coolest little tricks are the ones you can do with a shrug.

Man, you know it. Plus, inserting DVDs and CDs into the player from across the room without getting up. Or turning off the lights while in bed — by throwing a ball at the wall switch.

I do these things all the time. I don’t have much of a DVD collection left and the bedroom wall needs some serious re-painting, but life is easy.
