  • Paul Slavens

  • Chris

I haven’t heard you play any of this guy. I really like Dan Reeder’s first two albums. I just purchased the new one called “This new century.” I think this album is really good, but it hasn’t made as big an impact on me as the first two. The song “Maybe” is outstanding.

  • Reg

I propose a call in radio show due to the technical difficulties. You could play incidental music and have your callers improvise over the music

  • Hey Paul,
as always, I enjoy listening to your show when I can. I wanted to send you my latest cd, if ya wouldn’t mind playing it. The suggested tracks would be “Blurred Vision” or Similar Creatures”.

    Thanks,
    -Darrin Kobetich

I don’t mind the repeat tunes from last week. Good music is always worth another listen.

  • Reg

Just a suggestion. Could you throw in a small piece from Scarlatti Sonata op. 449. Or, I think that’s what it’s called.

  • Paul Slavens

I will check out yer scarlatti for next week
    is Domenico or Allessandro?
    Im guessing Dom

  • Logan

Hey Paul, I love your show.
I was wondering if you’d play some Animal Collective (especially from their first album or from Danse Manatee or Here Comes the Indian), Townes Van Zandt, Silver Jews, Daniel Johnston, Devendra Banhart, or Black Lips next week?
    Thanks a bunch

  • Reg

That one that played the piano real awesome.

  • Reg

Domenico. And I didn’t have to search on the internet for that answer either. The sonata. By the way, what’s recapitulation and coda?

  • I propose, that later in the spring after the latest Booker 3 album comes out from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts Music Guild, http://www.booker3.com that you consider playing as a group, some of the musical artists that have come from this school which could include Kristy Kruger, Erykah Badu, Norah Jones, Roy Hargrove, Edie Brickell, Tiger Darrow, Josh Goldberg, Annie Dingwall, Danielle Grubbs, Ben Higginbotham, and others that I may not know. I’ll make sure you and the station get the Booker 3 album from this and last year.

  • Paul Slavens

Thanks Lee, you are on my radar with that stuff, just havent gotten to it, so a collection for the station would be great, got any mp3 downloads I can get?
Logan thanks for the good suggestions.
Reg, a recapitulation (or recap) is a restatement of the first main section of a sonata, after the development section, generally speaking. The coda is an ending section on a sonata, of an indeterminate length.

  • Paul Slavens

    Im out, cheers yall
    see you next week

  • Reg

Thank you Paul. Hope next week turns out better.
