A weekly question to prompt discussion about the arts.

Between Day in the District last weekend in Fort Worth and Saturday’s ArtsPark at NorthPark Center and the opening celebration of Art in October in the Dallas Arts District, cultural institutions are trying harder than ever to connect with new faces.
That got us thinking – which North Texas arts venue is your favorite to visit? And what separates it from other similar spots around town? Let’s get the conversation started about what makes a great venue. Drop us a comment to fill us in.

  • Of course, I am biased toward Stage West. Not only is it a great place to visit – cool venue, great visual art, and a fabulous cafe to boot – but it consistently offers high quality, engaging and entertaining professional theatre at an affordable price. On top of that, it has some really fantastic educational outreach programs. Plus they have a great website and a pretty cool staff. 😉

But aside from Stage West, I think The Modern Fort Worth is a magnificent gem that stands out among all the rest. The architecture, the exhibits, the staff, the location, the mission, the cafe, the film series, the store, the website and all the programming for kids of all ages make it an institution that far outweighs any other of its size and focus.

  • Great question and the above is a thoughtful answer. Would love to hear from more visitors to this site on their opinions.
