I am shocked and deeply saddened about Doug’s death. He was so talented, so warm, so funny, so supportive of other artists and those of us who love their work. He leaves a big hole in the Dallas art scene, because he gave so much of himself. Rest in peace, dear Doug, and we will continue to enjoy your work and remember you with the greatest fondness.

I too was shocked to hear of Doug’s passing. What a powerful man with line and mystic.
