The Calendar is Thick with Concerts

Sheryl Crow, Green Day, Chromeo and Ween are just a few of the names coming to town.

CTA TBD

There are quite a few big music names in North Texas this week. In Denton, you can catch Teenage Cool Kids and Joe Ely (not together – that might be weird), while Grand Prarie has attracted Grammy winners Sheryl Crow and Colbie Callait. Not too shabby, Grand Prarie. But, it seems as if most of the action will be in Dallas this week, with Rooney, Green Day, Hot Hot Heat and Ween on the roster. Heck, even Kenny G and Meatloaf are joining in on the fun.

It all kicks off tonight with Canadian electrofunk duo Chromeo. Of course, there is more going on than what I’ve got here, and you are always invited to check out the events calendar on the Art&Seek homepage for daily events. Or, even better, subscribe to Art&Seek’s new weekly newsletter here for weekly picks and North Texas arts news. Its free, and you can be entered to win fabulously fun prizes and such! Now, in case you’re not too sure what Canadian electrofunk sounds like, here is the video for “Don’t Turn the Lights On” from Chromeo’s new album, Business Casual, which is expected to drop on September 14. Enjoy!
