DSO’S WOES ARE EVERYONE’S PROBLEM: The Dallas Symphony Orchestra has been having a tough time making ends meet of late. The organization relies heavily on donations from corporations, and with many corporations also having money problems, there’s less money to give. And that could be problematic for the local business community. “We lost Boeing because they thought the city of Dallas was not strong enough culturally,” DSO executive board member Myrna Schlegel says in the September issue of D CEO. “We don’t want to lose businesses and corporations in the future.”
