DMA HELPS ITSELF: When museums stage exhibitions, they’re constantly shipping in and shipping out works of art – priceless ones in some cases. So you can imagine that breaths are held when those crates are pried open. The Dallas Museum of Art doesn’t have to worry about that anymore.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has named the museum a certified cargo screening facility. The designation means the DMA doesn’t have to worry about who is handling the artwork it’s shipping out to other institutions since it will be handling the packing and screening.

MUSIC BITS: Midlake is holding a photo contest involving its latest album, The Courage of Others, and you.
