If you didn’t catch it, the Dallas Observer’s Robert Wilonsky (Unfair Park) was interviewed on All Things Considered about the already infamous marketing ploy, ah, nude-walk-through-Dealey-Plaza music video by Erykah Badu.

If you didn’t catch it, the Dallas Observer’s Robert Wilonsky (Unfair Park) was interviewed on All Things Considered about the already infamous marketing ploy, ah, nude-walk-through-Dealey-Plaza music video by Erykah Badu. It’s not up on the NPR website until 7 pm, but you can look for it here.

  • You can tell when Bobby’s a little nervous cause his voice sounds higher than normal.

  • He says he was the first person to interview Erykah Badu. Could well be true. But then, I knew her when she was the regular lunch barista at the old Grinders on lower Greenville. I’d wonder why this smart, good-looking young woman was even there…

Only learned later, after she became Badu, of course, that she was serving coffee and sandwiches until her first album came out …

Now I wonder what she thought of the crappy music that was often playing on the sound system.
