The last two days have been (relatively) cool, but Wednesday the temps get back into the upper 90s. Time to head back inside.

As long as you are seeking AC, why not seek it at the DMA? Every Wednesday in July is free, and guess what – tomorrow’s the last Wednesday of the month.

Need another reason to go? I’ll give you two.

First, you can check out the Summer Spotlight series that takes advantage of a cool new interactive program that I featured in a radio story today on KERA. Basically, the museum has produced a slew of bonus features for some of the works in the collection. The features are accessible through any Web-enabled device by going to dallasmuseumofart.mobi. If you are like me and haven’t joined the iPhone revolution yet, they have one that they can loan you.

Second, if you head to the museum at 3 p.m., you can take part in a Gallery Talk conducted by yours truly. The Summer Spotlight series highlights works in the museum that the curators feel are particularly cinematic. They’ve asked me to expand on that idea a little further. I scoped out the selections recently, and I think we’ll be spending most of our time on the 4th floor in the American paintings section.

Will I blow your mind with my big movie brain? Will I drive you to ask for a refund, even though the museum is free?

Only one way to find out. See you Wednesday at 3.
