The people have spoken: Last night, at the presentation of the Dallas Observer Music Awards, KERA’s own Paul Slavens won for “best music show” for 90.1 at Night, repeating his victory from last year. Of course, anyone who’s caught up with all the live blogging and listener-commenting going on here during Paul’s shows would know that he’s got an ardent following.

Also, the Observer has posted a slideshow of last night’s multi-venue showcase on Lower Greenville. In it, you can catch Shibboleth, the local band that crafted Art&Seek’s theme music, and, not surprisingly, you can also spot a number of the artists that Paul has featured on his Track by Track podcasts, including Telegraph Canyon and Salim Nourallah.

Way to keep your finger on the pulse, big guy.

actually this is the first DOMA I have won, although I have been nominated before. I was given the Best of Dallas Award this year by the DO, but am very proud to have been honored by the readers of the DO. The last time I won a DOMA I still had hair ! I think it was 18 years ago !
Thanks to all who support me and the show, I love doing it !!
