It’s called “sleevefacing” (and yes, it’s trademarked and there’s a book and website which the video is helping promote). You make yourself over with the help of a favorite LP pose. In so doing, you sometimes live out a rock fantasy or comment ironically on the jacket photo (by showing what’s “outside the frame”) or just send-up the pretensions of the poseur.
