If you are in Fort Worth this morning, head over to the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts (3901 South Hulen) for the groundbreaking ceremony for the academy’s new building. The event begins at 11 and will feature Broadway star Betty Lynn Buckley as well as performances from the Texas Boys Choir and the Singing Girls of Texas. The new $4.9 million, 41,000-square-foot building will allow the academy to accept 275 more students than it currently does. Construction should be complete in 2010.
