… we were, just the other day, have you forgotten already? At any rate, in case you hadn’t heard, former DTC company stalwart Candy Buckley (All the King’s Men) is currently appearing off-Broadway in the Public Theatre/Labyrinth Theater production of Raul Castillo’s play, Knives and Other Sharp Objects. It’s a multi-generational, dysfunctional Hispanic family drama set in Austin.

If you could follow all of that, then this should be a cinch: Last year, in Hartford, Candy starred in the TheatreWorks production of Douglas Carter Beane’s Hollywood satire, The Little Dog Laughed (above). Naturally, you remember from the DTC’s announcement this week that Beane is also the author of Give It Up!, the new musical the theater will premiere next season.
