MORE STRAIT TICKETS: Yesterday, we linked to a story saying that the June 6 George Strait concert to open the new Cowboys stadium was already a sellout. Now, it appears that that isn’t entirely true. Strait’s publicist says that additional tickets will go onsale on Friday at 10 a.m. The reason for the extra tickets is that the specs on the production have been changed, making room for some more seats. That’s not uncommon, especially for a show in a new venue like this. Just be warned – typically the new seats are found right around the stage. That can potentially be great, but you can also possibly end up watching the show from some weird angles.

GIVE ‘EM YOUR BEST LEONARD: DFW.com is sponsoring a fun contest for tickets to the April 3 Leonard Cohen concert. All they’re asking is that you upload a one-minute video of yourself doing your best rendition of Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” The best entry gets a pair of tickets. Or if you’d prefer to keep your singing between you and the mirror, you can also enter by just filling out an entry form. But that really seems not as fun.

FORMER DALLAS BALLET DIRECTOR DEAD: Flemming Flindt, the artistic director for the now defunct Dallas Ballet  from 1981-88, has died. Denmark’s most heralded international dance figure was 72 and died after a short illness. You can read the obit here.

RAT PACK TAKES YOU BACK: The Rat Pack – Live at the Sands, makes a brief stop in Dallas this week, and Lawson Taitte writes on GuideLive.com that from his seat on Tuesday night, “People apparently are still eager to hear numbers out of the great American songbook (alongside tunes of lesser pedigree) sung by voices of substance and backed by choirs of actual saxes, trumpets and trombones.”
So-called jukebox musicals (Mamma Mia!, Jersey Boys) have been all the rage of late, and it sounds like Rat Pack stays true to that reliable formula.
