File this one under one that slipped by us: Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Music Director Miguel Harth-Bedoya was nominated for a Grammy last week for his work on Traditions And Transformations: Sounds Of Silk Road Chicago.

The catch is, he wasn’t conducting the FWSO. Rather, the nomination comes from his work with the Chicago Symphony and soloist Wu Man. The recording is up for Best Instrumental Soloist Performance with Orchestra.

Harth-Bedoya is proving to be quite the in-demand conductor. In February, he will conduct a new production of La boheme at the English National Opera in London.
