    Last July in New York I happened to be seated next to Mr. Pei in an intimate restaurant. I did not dare say anything to him and brusie his privacy, but ultimately he commented on my summer blazer, asking what it was made of…( tissue thin cotton challis) ..in which case I fell on my ‘I’m from Dallas and I’m star struck’ sword. I mentione of course the city hall but especially, what was originally called Fountain Place…. He was gracious, still quite crisp and young in real terms. It was the highlight of my trip.

    we had to do an imagration project in my high school geography class and i choose to research I.M. Pei and saw that i really love his work. he is one my favorite artits now and his work is truely magnifigently beautiful!
