Last week I went to see The Happening which I enjoyed more than I think any living critic did. But what amazed me most was the theater. The Inwood Theater holds lots of cinema memories, and back when there was only one film festival in town, it was there. Over the years it added the wonderful Inwood lounge, 2 small theaters upstairs, and now ….couches in the large downstairs theater.

It is really odd, it’s like a home there, with a really big screen. It changes your posture – instead of sitting up, you lounge back. Great for many films but I am sure that for some really slow film the ushers will have to wake up people at the end. If you have not seen a film there you probably should.
