Shares have tumbeld 29 percent for the country’s second-largest book chain — thanks, in part, to competition from Wal-Mart. The company says it’s considering various options. Hope it doesn’t go under; frankly, on average, I prefer Borders’ design and layout and knowledgeable staff to Barnes & Noble’s — on average, I repeat.
