Love the cover photo on Blue Shoe Project’s Last of the Great Mississippi Delta Bluesmen — Live in Dallas — the way it evokes classic album art from the ’50s and ’60s (Chess, Vanguard, Blue Note). As everyone knows, Jeff and Michael Dyson, father-and-son producers from Colleyville, took home a Grammy Award Sunday evening for best traditional blues — for all that terrific recorded stuff inside the cover.

Their nonprofit label has presented blues education programs in 18 schools in three different cities. Which means, despite the win, the Dysons are still in fund-raising mode. Having offered a show in Grapevine on Monday, they’re presenting David “Honeyboy” Edwards tomorrow, Feb. 14, in San Antonio for the Texas Music Educator’s Association conference. You can find out information and buy tickets here. You can also donate money to the project here

And if you really like that cover photo, you can get it on a t-shirt or hoodie, hat or pillow here.

UPDATE: According to Preston Jones in the Star-Telegram, the Last of the Great Mississippi Delta Bluesmen concert in Dallas in 2004 at the Majestic Theatre was filmed — which means it may come out as a DVD.  The Dysons are also planning a “Grammy blowout” when the actual trophy arrives sometime in April.
