The National Book Foundation recognized Terry Gross with the prestigious Literarian Award this week for “helping people understand literature and the writing process.” Gross received her plaudits at the 2007 National Book Awards in New York.

If you’d like to see her accept her award, along with the writers who won the National Book Award, C-Span2 will broadcast the ceremony tomorrow, November 17 at 9 p.m.

We all know how thorough she is in conducting her interviews, and how she makes her subjects come out in high relief. It’s great American literati have acknowledged her work.
