It is, much to everyone’s great relief.  Check out some of the happenings that didn’t make it on the air:

‘Texas Glass Artists Sale’ at The Fort Worth Community Arts Center (Saturday) – The Texas Glass Artists Association wants you to come check out works from their members and maybe get an early start on your holiday shopping.

‘3rd Annual Con Sabor a Mexico Festival’ at The Latino Cultural Center (Saturday) – Art for sale, music, dancers and food, from every state in the Mexican federation.  Proceeds go into a scholarship fund for college-bound students in the DFW area.  Come hungry.

‘Eric Tepner: Photographic Impressionism’ at Arts Fifth Avenue (Saturday) – Speaking of a good cause.  Photographer Eric Tepner and 10-year-old son Mattias are training for their 500 mile trek down the Pacific Coast Highway in an effort to raise funds for The International Children’s Heart Foundation.

‘Music Festival of India’ at The Crow Collection (Saturday) – Presented by the Indian Classical Musical Circle of Dallas/Fort Worth, featuring vocalist Subhra Guha, Tejendra Majumdar on the sarod, and a sweet deal for KERA members – two-for-one admission, or half-off single tickets.

Gogol Bordello at The Granada (Sunday) – Oh, but you must.  Gogol Bordello is right on time for the new musical millennium, and frontman Eugene Hutz is just precious, up there with Iggy Pop.  And if you missed his interview on Fresh Air recently, click away.

Renovated Reality Theatre Company presents ‘A View From The Bridge’ – Arthur Miller’s McCarthy-era illegal immigrant dockworker drama, chock full of culture clashes, machismo, betrayal and jealousy, all leading up to something explosive and hideous.  Opening this weekend in Bedford.

Dallas Children’s Theater presents ‘Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing’ – Let’s hear some love for Judy Blume’s classic tale of sibling angst.  Poor Peter can’t catch a break from Fudge, the most diabolical two-year-old brother on the planet, but a turtle named Dribble comes along to save the day.  KERA members get a 30% discount.  Onstage at the Rosewood Center.

‘Out On A Rail: Photographs by Michelle Winder’ at Heliotrope – Azle-based photographer and switch operator Michelle Winder’s celebration of boxcar graffiti in the Fort Worth railyards was just so cool they had to extend it through October 31st.

‘2nd Annual Dinosaurs Alive! Life-Size Animatronic Dinosaurs’ at The Heard Natural Science Museum – Life-size, animatronic, and they mean it.  Fun for the whole family, and kicking off this weekend.  There’s a nice little discount in it for KERA members, too.
